Arrive in Trondheim
Settle into the city, meet the ride team and enjoy an easy first evening before the route heads south.
Night 1 · Boutique city hotel
Trondheim → Kyrksæterøra
Leave Trondheim behind on quiet country roads that gradually trade the city for forest, open farmland and the first long views across the fjord.
A gentle introduction to the landscape, finishing beside the water in Kyrksæterøra.
Night 2 · Waterside guesthouse
Kyrksæterøra → Kristiansund
A varied coastal stage through rounded hills and small communities, with steady climbing between stretches of open road and sea air.
Arrive in Kristiansund as the route opens onto its island harbour and maritime history.
Night 3 · Design-led harbour hotel
Kristiansund → Molde
Ride south through the island landscape toward Molde, where the Atlantic horizon gives way to the dramatic wall of the Romsdal Alps.
The Atlantic Ocean Road brings the day’s defining sequence of bridges, skerries and exposed coastline.
Night 4 · Waterfront hotel in Molde
Molde → Åndalsnes
The longest day follows the fjord inland, building through changing terrain from coastal lanes to bigger mountain roads and sustained climbs.
The Romsdalsfjord and the first sight of the Romsdal valley set up a spectacular arrival in Åndalsnes.
Night 5 · Mountain hotel in Åndalsnes
Åndalsnes → Geiranger
A shorter but demanding alpine stage, with serious climbing, high mountain roads and descents that reward every turn of the pedals.
Cross the Trollstigen landscape before the route drops toward the deep blue waters of Geirangerfjord.
Night 6 · Fjord-side hotel in Geiranger
Geiranger → Ålesund
The final riding day begins beneath Geiranger’s steep walls, then moves between mountain, ferry and coastal landscapes on the way west.
Finish in Ålesund, with time to look back across the fjords and celebrate the full Trondheim-to-coast crossing.
Night 7 · Central hotel in Ålesund
Ålesund
A final morning in Ålesund before onward travel, with the option to extend the stay and explore the coast at your own pace.
